I’m a dad. And I’m stubborn!
Why? Because after more than 2 years of working 100% remotely–enjoying a healthy work/life balance and the valuable time I spend at home with my family–I was called back to the office.
Yep. I have the renewed “privilege” of experiencing random hallway conversations, open office cubicles and frequent face-to-face interruptions. Never mind the efficiency of 100% remote work!
I can’t go back to my 2019 lifestyle. I just can’t.
Going back to the office has meant giving up mornings with my kids before school, less help for my wife around the house, less fun playing games with my kids (I’m too tired!) and eating dinner together less often. Basically, all of the good things to actually come out of the godforsaken pandemic; that which my family relied on.
They need me. They need a father/husband who doesn’t spend an hour each way commuting during a 9 to 10-hour workday only to come home exhausted and irritable. Nope. My family deserves better.
Now the clock is ticking… I need financial freedom!
This website is a start. What is it, exactly? That’s what I’m hoping to find out. For now, it’s a symbol of my side-hustling rebellion against “business as usual” — both in the office and in life.
StubbornDad.com celebrates a unique brand of silliness; the kind of dad humor that makes my two school-age kids groan, roll their eyes and say: “oh my gawd…”. That’s right. I’m talking about Weird Gift Ideas, Quirky Videos, Unusual How-Tos — and almost anything that turns today’s trends completely upside down!
I don’t know how I’ll succeed financially, and I don’t know when… but I know that I need to try. And that’s enough for me for now.
Will you join me on this stubborn journey?
Honestly, I’m SO glad you’re here. Please reach out and say “hi.” Let me know if you’re a fellow dad stubbornly in search of freedom (like me!), a busy mom looking for laughs between tasks or just a kid who landed here by mistake on your way to YouTube.
Everyone is welcome!
I’d love to see you comment on my posts, share what you enjoy (both here and in life!) and tell me what you’d like to see more of on this website. I’ll do my best to accommodate you or at least compliment you on having such good taste in blogs. 😉

P.S. I’d like to shout out the “AI interns” who’ve been instrumental in helping me brainstorm and develop the off-the-wall ideas. Without you, I’d still be noodling around with this About Me page and I’d have zero posts to boast about. Thanks!!
