The premise is simple.
The possibilities are mind-bogglingly infinite. Every player must scout around the house to gather five random items. The stranger and more unrelated the items are, the better. The object could be anything from a potato masher to a bobblehead, a broomstick to a banana. However, be warned, using live pets or unwilling siblings is strictly off-limits!
Once the items are collected, the real fun begins. The aim is to fashion the most creative, hilarious, or practical invention possible using only these chosen objects. Yes, you heard it right – only these five items, no more, no less!
Here are the rules to this madcap adventure:
- Every player has 15 minutes to search the house and collect their items. Anything goes, but remember, the quirkier and less obviously connected the items are, the more fun you’ll have inventing!
- Once the items are gathered, each player has 30 minutes to create their invention. You can glue, tie, balance, or arrange them in any way you see fit, as long as you don’t add any extra items!
- When the time’s up, each inventor presents their creation to the group, complete with a creative name and a demonstration of how it works. Bonus points for flamboyant sales pitches and dramatic demonstrations!
- Voting time! Everyone (except the inventor) votes on a scale of 1-10 for creativity, humor, and practicality.
- The player with the highest total score wins and is crowned The Wacky Inventor! However, in the event of a tie, the group must decide which invention is more likely to be sold on a late-night infomercial.
The Wacky Inventor is more than just a game.
It’s an exercise in imagination, a celebration of silliness, and a masterclass in making the mundane magnificent. Remember, in this game, thinking inside the box is forbidden, and thinking outside the box is highly encouraged.
